What are the requirements to become a member?

Prospective members must:

    • Be full-time undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree students of Stony Brook
    • Possess an overall 3.0 GPA
    • Be in good judicial standing at Stony Brook
    • Live in Stony Brook residence halls or apartments
    • Demonstrate positive contributions within the Stony Brook community

Does joining NRHH have any associated cost?

No, there is no cost for joining or maintaining membership within this honorary.

What is required of members of NRHH?

Active members must:

    • Attend or make up bi-weekly General Body Meetings (GBMs)
    • Volunteer at various programs throughout each semester
    • Submit at least three Of the Month (OTM) awards per semester

What is the application process for becoming a member?

Prospective members will be sent an application packet upon nomination by a member of NRHH, an RHA E-Board Member, a Residence Life Professional Staff Member, or a Dean of Students Staff Member. Following the application period, applicants will then have to attend an in-person interview.

Can commuters apply to be members of NRHH?

No, commuters cannot apply to become members unless they were previously inducted as an on-campus student. However, commuters are encouraged to attend programs and help with on-campus initiatives.

What’s up with the stuffed moose?

Zeus is our chapter’s mascot! He is the cousin of our regional mascot, Marty the Moose.
